Polish Virtual University (PVU) is a joint project of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin and Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz.

We design study programmes and conduct extension e-learning courses. Our primary field of action is modern teaching methods promotion in Poland. We provide support to traditional lectures and tutors as well as on-line students.

We are a competence centre for instructional design, technology and organisation of e-learning projects. We have the capacity to provide state-of-the-art information technologies and methodological support to all interested institutions, especially to other Universities and Colleges.

Teams qualified to design and produce online courses
Instructional designers, IT profs and graphic designers in cooperation with best specialists in their fields design individual courses, which are then used in the course of college study programmes and trainings.

Teams and operation procedures of online study programmes and trainings
PVU’s established procedures and solid technical base facilitate complex organisational operation of its study programmes and courses. This includes a variety of services, ranging from the organisation and execution of student admission process, through complete student’s administrative procedures and running student service department, to the full management of the teaching process.

Technical infrastructure
PVU has at its disposal the most modern technical infrastructure, indispensable for conducting teaching over the Internet. It includes: on-line teaching platforms (WebCT, Lotus Learning Space and R5 Generation), videoconferencing solutions, software governing both admission process and dean’s office operation, as well as fast and efficient Internet connection. Professional teams of system administrators and IT specialists assure proper functioning of the aforementioned infrastructure.
